COBRA-I (Covert Over Barrier Recon Assistant – Infra-red)

COBRA-I (Covert Over Barrier Recon Assistant - I is a portable and versatile, expandable sensor system with twin sensors: a high resolution infrared camera and a visible low light level video camera for combat soldiers, homeland security and law enforcement personnel.

Can be used as a handheld camera or tripod mounted
covert camera system. The COBRA-IR system utilizes a high resolution (320 x 240) IR camera and a low light level video camera. Operating on just three AA batteries.

The COBRA-I was designed to fit into the cargo pocket of a military person and then to extend an additional 18 inches in order to allow safe covert observation capability for the user.
It also has two camera heads; one, a high resolution 320x240 thermal imaging camera and the other a low light level video camera.

The COBRA-IR fits easily in a BDU cargo pocket in its stowed
configuration and weighs less than two pounds.

COBRA has been tested to survive 30 minutes under three feet of water, a drop of 6 feet on concrete
