| COBRA-I (Covert Over
Barrier Recon Assistant - I is a portable
and versatile, expandable sensor system with twin
sensors: a high resolution infrared camera and
a visible low light level video camera for combat
soldiers, homeland security and law enforcement
personnel.
Can be used as a handheld camera or tripod mounted
covert camera system. The COBRA-IR system utilizes
a high resolution (320 x 240) IR camera and a
low light level video camera. Operating on just
three AA batteries.
The COBRA-I was designed to fit into the cargo
pocket of a military person and then to extend
an additional 18 inches in order to allow safe
covert observation capability for the user.
It also has two camera heads; one, a high resolution
320x240 thermal imaging camera and the other a
low light level video camera.
The COBRA-IR fits easily in a BDU cargo pocket
in its stowed
configuration and weighs less than two pounds.
COBRA has been tested to survive 30 minutes under
three feet of water, a drop of 6 feet on concrete

The COBRA-IR flexible

for urban operations requiring vision around corners
or over walls. Special operations can utilize the
system for covert detection of targets or threats
or general surveillance.
Law Enforcement
Tactical officers can utilize the flexible COBRA-IR
thermal imaging camera system to see around corners
or over walls in urban tactical situations. The
camera can also be used for general patrols, surveillance
and reconnaissance. The system has uses in urban
rescue situations as well.
Security
Security professionals can utilize the COBRA-IR
system to covertly detect suspicious activity
along a perimeter or in unauthorized areas. Users
can see over walls or around corners, while remaining
covert.
